Long time no see.

Ok, well it has been a while since I have been here. No need to worry, everything is A OK! :) I have been keeping up mainly with my facebook for pictures. If you do not have me as a friend and would like to add me just send me a message letting me know you are interested in pictures. I usually don't add those that I don't know if there is not a message or something along those lines!
So, last week I held the "Snap Shot Pumpkin Patch". It was fantastic, and I ended up shooting 24 separate families and/or their kids. Thanks to God for handing me strength, patience, and a long lasting battery (I only have one). :) I shot from Wednesday - Sunday, which was the actual "planned" Pumpkin Patch day! With word of mouth, the Sunday Patch turned into a week long patch, and I still have some asking. God is GREAT!
Thank you to all who made it out, and who have planned to come! I hope you all have loved your pictures!

Until next time!

Pre Patch Fun

Well, yesterday was a day dedicated to shopping around for my "Snap Shot Pumpkin Patch" that is fast approaching! In doing so, with the help of a friend Kameron, we managed to gather a couple of families for pictures at the Central Christian Church Pumpkin Patch. While Bethany and I had plans to do some pumpkin shopping, she then got the job of keeping up with my kiddo's while I took photos. All in all, it was a great day! I got a few pumpkins, fall flowers, and fall baskets that will add a little more festivity to the Patch I will be setting up. The Patch that we used here is quite different then the plan I have in store, but was still super cute!! Thank you to Kameron, Abby, Bonnie, and of course Bethany for all coming out and allowing me to get in some "Pre Patch Fun"! :) Ladies, if you would like to view the photos to place your order, please click on "Patch Photo's" on the right side of this page. :) Instructions will be there on how to order. Thank you again!!

The more the Merrier!

The title to this tells it all! I had the pleasure of photographing this blessed family. This family consist of six boys, YES, six boys. I think the mommy is out numbered, but looks to be so happy with her many blessings. These boys were the most well mannered little boys I have ever been around. They did whatever I asked, and did it with a smile. We had a wonderful evening! :)

Friends

I find it so NEAT getting the opportunity to play with the babies of those that I went to school with. We have all grown up, and are creating little families of our own. This little on is Landon, and his Mommy and I graduated together. He came over yesterday for a little play date, and I was able to get a couple shots of him. I just love it!

Sweet, Sweet Kiddo's!

I was so excited, and humbled that the mother of these two little boys drove ALL THE WAY from north of DALLAS, so I could take pictures. The mom of the boys and I used to work together and have not seen each other in about a year and a half. Neither of us had seen each others little one. :) It was SO nice to see her, and to be able to capture these sweet moments that now they will have forever! The boys were so good, and made my job easy! Despite the mini panic attacks on the "rickety bridge" I would say the day was a success!! Enjoy ~ Brittney

What a life to be living.

I spent the evening with a wonderful group of people who were celebrating Ms. Martha Tipping's 80th Birthday!! What a life to live. Ms. Martha was just as agile as the person next to her. She pranced around the dance floor with such grace, and confidence! She has began a legacy in all of her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. I have created a page for the family to go and view the pictures. Please look right side of this page and click on "Ms. Tipping's 80th Birthday Party." I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

Thanks so much to Ms. Martha, and her fabulous family!

Ryder's 1st Birthday

I was so excited to be a part of this little guys special day! He is such a cutie with such beautiful big brown eyes! What a delight to be around! God had kept this little guy under his watch, and has blessed this family with one sweet little boy!
Happy Birthday Ryder!

A day on the town with the Step Sister... ASHLEY!

Well today the boys and I spent the day in Waco with Ashley. She asked if I'd take some pics of her, and well OF COURSE I DID! :) We had a fun day and ended it with a trip to Wal-Mart. :) I hope you all enjoy, but most of all I hope Ashley loves them! Enjoy ~ Brittney

Pumpkin Patch

Alright, believe it or not, it is almost PUMPKIN season! :) With that being said, I am planning on creating a "patch" of pumpkins with hay for picture purposes only.

This event will actually depend on the amount families/little ones that commit to it! :) I plan to have this festivity take place October 17th (Sunday) at my house (Just past the Whitney Dam) from 12pm to 7pm! We will have drinks and snacks for those who have their pictures made. I will be scheduling each session by 30 minute increments starting at 12pm, with the picture time being 15-20 minutes. This extra time is for any additional time needed to get that perfect shot! :) Each session will be $25, this includes the picture time and a free 5x7. The pictures will be ordered through me and the order will be placed the day I receive it from you. The complimentary 5x7 will be ordered at the same time your order is placed. Pictures will be viewable on my blog and/or face book with permission. Cd's with the pictures will not be given, but may be purchased for an additional fee.

Please feel free to E-mail me (brittneyhejl@gmail.com) with any questions, or to schedule your time! You may also comment on this post to request your time, and I will let you know if it is available. Scheduling is COMPLETELY open as of now, and will be a first come first serve basis. ** Remember this "festivity" is not set in stone, and will depend on the amount of families signed up. I will let you know by October 11th if it is a go! :) I sure hope it is, I think it could be REAL FUN! :)

Please see the page titles "Snap Shot Pumpkin Patch" on the upper right side of this page.

~Side note... The pictures I have posted were from last year and were taken with my iphone, so of course they will be MUCH better this year! :)

"Little Princess"

I was able to spend my morning with this "little Princess." She was full of spunk, spontaniety, and smiles. Nap time crept up on us quickly, but she made the camera happy.

Close at heart but far from home.

This adorable family makes me smile each time I see them. This was the first time I had the chance to photograph them. With the husband being gone overseas at various times during their journey, it is extra special to me to make these memories for them. I couldn't ask for a better day or place (Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens) to capture these moments!!

Family Memories

This great group of people, some of which I went to high school with, asked that I take family photos for them. It was great getting to see them and their children, and create lasting memories by way of photography! Enjoy ~ Brittney

Golden Anniversary

This amazing family asked that I be a part of this wonderful occasion to capture the moments of the day. Mr. & Mrs. Morris Russell have been married for 50 years, and have a beautiful family to show for it! What a wonderful blessing, and such an inspiration to the "youngsters" like myself.

God's Greatest Miracle

I was so anxious to meet this little girl, and can you blame me? Friends of ours, Josh & Bonnie Gant, welcomed sweet Everly Lynn Gant to their family. Big sister, Raelin, was so excited to be a big sister, and has taken on the role wonderfully!

I absolutely love babies, the smaller the better.
I was able to spend the late morning with her,
and capture a few of her sweet little faces!
I hope you all enjoy!
Blessings,
Brittney

Here we go!!!

Well, here we go! This is my first attempt at a blog, and I think I will like it! I enjoy talking, and in this case, I can talk all I want and not be interrupted by those shorter than my waist! Although I love them more than any thing on this earth, I do enjoy being able to talk without their interruption! :)

So, as you know, or maybe don't know, I enjoy taking pictures! I have recently invested in a Nikon D40x, thanks to my friend Craig and his list of various gadgets to purchase! Photography is a passion that I have had in me for a long time coming, and just never put it you use with a fancy camera. Some say I have an "eye" for it, I say I have a good camera :) Although, I do think photography does require an eye, maybe even two if your lucky!

With this passion I hope to bring photography into the homes of those who may have thought they could never have such wonderful pictures. Before I started taking pictures, I was one of those people. I would see magnificent pictures of families, children, newborns, weddings and everything in between and think, "Man, I wish I could have pictures like that to put on the walls of my home" Well, now I can, or at least I am getting ALOT closer.

I am by no means "professional", it would be nice, but so would quite a few other things. With all things, comes practice, persistence, and patience! I am having to embrace each of these every day with my photography. I hope to invest in a better lens for my camera, and maybe even upgrade my camera one day. For now, I am beyond happy with what I have.

So far, I have had the opportunity to take pictures of many families, children, and even got my toes wet in a wedding. Lots to learn in each category, but like I said before... Practice, Persistence, and Patience!

I hope you can follow me and my photography endeavors on a daily basis, or maybe weekly. I'm not sure if I can keep up daily :) I'll do my best!

Have a great evening!
